Acoustics is poorly understood by most people, and practical solutions to noise problems are not properly taught in schools. As a result, there is a large amount of incorrect advice given by people with a title or a magazine article to their credit, but little successful practical experience. Much of our work consists of troubleshooting acoustic problems caused by poor design, or no design at all.
